How To Organize Your "Mom" Purse

If you're like me you have a purse and then you have your mom purse. And if your mom purse is anything like mine, it's about 10 times bigger than my regular purse.

Now I don't really remember the last time I got to use my actual purse since I'm always carrying around sippy cups, spare diapers, wipes and Cheerios. Sound all too familiar?!

Now let's get that big bag in order!

I ran to my local craft store and for about $5 I got 4 different sized small canvas-type bags. Then I grabbed a few iron on decals because my bags had to be cute and labeled (pictures or iron on letters make it easy to label each bag). It's much easier to find things in that bag if it's all in it's own place. Plus, it's much easier to transfer exactly what you want to a diaper bag or your purse.

Time to sort it all out. First get rid of the junk that doesn't need to be in there. Put all that spare change that's just laying in there all on a pile and toss out all those wrappers! Then pick a bag for "mom" stuff and put all YOUR things in it like lip gloss, powder, makeup, etc. Now you can either keep a bag for each child or 1 for them all together depending on their needs or ages. Fill it with their pacifiers, small toys, etc. Keep 1 bag that's just for "medicine" type things like aspirin, candy, safety pins, gum -- all the things the kids can't have.

Once you have it all separated, toss 'em in your mom purse and you're set to go!
