Creating your own website is a lot of fun and extremely rewarding!  And honestly, who doesn't have a website these days?  Having a website is the perfect way to get your business out to millions more people, to show off your skills or services that you offer or as a great way to earn some extra money.  Whatever you want to use your website for, here are easy to understand instructions on how to get it going.

1.  Choose a web host.  The host is the company that "displays" your website on the internet.  There are TONS of hosts out there, some free and some very expensive.  I would highly recommend not using a free web host as they usually do not let you design your site how you want and they also place their own ads all over your site.  They are also very limited as to what you can do with them.  Plus, a customer or client is not going to take you seriously if you are using a free and cheap looking website.  I use BlueHost as my hosting provider and  I pay about $7 a month and I have about 10 websites.  And YES!!, all of those websites still only cost me $7 a month.  BlueHost offers unlimited website hosting, excellent customer service, superb pricing and all the website amenities I could ever want!

2.  Decide on a topic.  Choose something that you love so that it interests you and makes you want to keep learning.  Start gathering lots of information.  The more content you have on your website the more people will want to stay there!

3.  Design your website.  If you have purchased your hosting through BlueHost like I suggested, this part is not going to cost you anything as BlueHost offers a website builder with their hosting packages.  If you decide not to go with BlueHost you will need to purchase website design software ($100+) provided that you do not know HTML, CSS, etc.  Yep, it's much easier to use the website builder that is provided by BlueHost as you know it will be compatible and you won't have any uploading issues.  Now decide what you want it to look like!  Play around, this is the fun part.

 4.  Start getting paid!!  This is my favorite part.  For my affiliate websites I added some Google AdSense to my pages, a few Amazon links and some links from my Commission Junction account.  On the websites where I sell my products I have my PayPal buttons in place and ready to earn an income.
