Cut
Out Sugar Cookies
You will need: 4 cups of flour (plus more for dusting) 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 sticks butter (8 oz) softened 2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 2 tsp vanilla
Sift the flour, powder and salt and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and the vanilla. Gradually mix in the flour mixture. Divide the dough in half and flatten each half into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 325*. Let the dough soften a bit then roll out onto a slightly floured surface. Make all of your cut outs and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet. Place them in the freezer for 15 mins. Take them back out and bake them for 15 - 18 minutes or until slightly golden. Let cool and enjoy!
