BIRTHDAY GIFTS
Always buy solid
colored bags for your gifts. How
many times do you end up getting them back anyway.
Decorate them with ribbons, bows, stickers, or let your kids
decorate them. They're a
lot cheaper then those fancy bags.
My
sisters and I were sick of trying to figure out what to buy each other
for birthdays. Now every year we purchase a magazine subscription
for the birthday girl off of ebay and our only rule is that it can't be
more than $10! Talk about a win/win - I love magazines!!
Instead
of birthday gifts for all your niececs or granddaughters, buy some beads
with letters on them, elastic and more fancy beads and make each of them
a personalized bracelet or necklace.
For
gift giving, you can also just buy plain white boxes and decorate them
with ribbons, stamps or stickers instead of wrapping paper.
Instead
of buying a box for the gift, get a sand pail for younger kids and a
basket for adults and put the gift in that. This way the
toy/basket can be part of the gift too!
Make
up gift baskets as a gift. You can easily buy a basket at a dollar
store. Then depending on the person/occasion you can buy flower
seeds, herbs, little painted pots, garden tools, etc.
Put
together a gift basket for a friend with socks (black and brown), foot
creams, lotions, polish, etc!
Or
do the same thing but for your hands instead of your feet!
Another
great gift for kids, depending on their age, is puzzles.
They/re a great gift that's always forgotten about. Those
plain, cream colored hand bags are always perfect to stencil or stamp
on. Decorate it with their name or favorite character and put the
puzzles inside. This way they have a place to keep them so the
pieces aren't lost so easily.
Another
great idea is a magazine subscription - for cheap!
